Pricing and VATXultbooks.com Medical Bookshop products are priced in pounds sterling (£), with a reference Euro (€) price, which is based on a monthly rate of exchange. The Euro (€) price is a guide price only. All transactions will be charged in pounds sterling (£) and converted by your bank or credit card company into your local currency. Each product has 'our price' clearly displayed within the product listings and within the product page itself. 'Our price' is never higher than the RRP (recommended retail price), which is correct at the time of listing and subject to change without prior notice. On regular occasion we may offer discounts on products. These are easily noticed and displayed by the 'RRP price' being crossed out, and 'Our price' indicating the new discounted price with the percentage saved displayed. Value added tax (VAT)Prices are inclusive of UK VAT, but exclude delivery as delivery options vary in price. VAT stands for 'Value added tax'. But, alas, other items such as electronic format media (DVD, CD, eBook, PDA products) are not. The current rate is 17.5%, so you will see VAT in your shopping basket from time to time. As our core product (books) is zero rated, delivery charges are also not subject to VAT. EU Customers'Our price' is inclusive of UK VAT. Current EU legislation obliges us to charge VAT in accordance with local legislation (at your local rate of VAT) on orders delivered within the EU. As we're a small company, we're currently under the threshold for local EU member VAT registration, which basically means that all EU customer orders will be charged at the current UK VAT rates for the time being as outlined above, good news for you.
